Found this 2017 A U S 5 dollar bill with a strange(r) watermark on the reverse.

I have no idea how I noticed this, but it's there.
Doesn't look like an offsetting issue, as it has good detail, plus it's not Abe.
Am I missing something here ?

    It looks stained to me.
Can you post face and back photos of the entire note please.

Looking at a 2013 $5 note, I see that the watermarks aren't A. Lincoln. There's a large ornate "5" on one side of the portrait and three smaller, vertical 5s on the other side. Watermarks on higher denominations mimic the portraits, but apparently not on our $5s.

I'm on it ASAP, but not tonight, it's kinda late.
Would it be rude (myob) to ask how that process runs.
Maybe some sheets were mixed in the process ?
Just my thoughts and I'll get those photo's for us ASAP. One more thing ...I don't see a security strip.
    Thanks.

I keep a small UV flashlight for checking for security strips, or I hold them up to a bright light.

I have one photo of the front, but I can do better soon.
Do fives have a strip ? None present ?

Yes, it should have a denomination security strip and watermarked with "5"s.

Photo's were taken on a lighttable used in Printing. i'm a Pressman, for 47 years.
Securty strip is present with a weak looking one also. I don't make paper, I just wrinkle it.
This may all be for nothing but it does seem to carry the embossed look pretty well.
    Photo's are ...ehh

Looks like a fairly worn 2017A $5 note with a tear in the upper margin. The security strip is plainly visible along with the correct watermarks.

    You're welcome.
These are the exact watermarks that I described above-twice.
Spend it. I've already spent my 2013.
