Semi-Toned ASE: If only I could reproduce it!

Slow day at home so I thought I would share an ASE. This was in a bunch of ASE's that I purchased quite a few years ago. The toning is richer than what is shown in the photos and was caused, as far as I can tell, by some contact and pressure via a rubber band with the plastic flip it was in. I tried putting another ASE from the same group back in one of the flips and putting it under some books for a couple of years just to see what would happen but it stayed white. Oh well! I coulda been somebody in the world of artificially toned coins Not sure if that is a good thing though!

Neat! It could be just the right combination of the plastic of the flip, the pressure of the band, amount of light or lack thereof, and humidity. It could take a while to reproduce...
Very cool though!
