2023 BBWAA Hall of Fame Ballot

One of the assertions was that the BBWAA might not vote for Andy Pettitte because he was similar to Jack Morris who they "overlooked".

Does anyone think that they are remotely comparable?

I mean there are a few superficial areas where they are close but Pettitte is better, but the only area Morris is better is complete games and that must be a function of era (to pick almost at random, Frank Lary has five times the number of complete games as Clayton Kershaw, heck, Charlie Radbourn had more CG than Kershaw's career total in nine of his eleven seasons).

    Pettite is a steroid guy AND wasn't that good. If he gets in, for the love of God, put in Barry and ARod.
