Large Cent ANS Thefts for Saturday Night Movie Night?

Plenty of us have heard bits and pieces of this story or maybe even followed the court cases a bit but this 1 hour presentation is really neat.

I only watch Horror movies during October!
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
Fascinating discussion. I would have liked to know how as a teenager, Eric Streiner bought the Naftzger coins for over $7 Million.
This reminds me of a story from early in my collecting days. In 1997 I bought an AU 1793 chain cent from a prominent (non-EAC) dealer. I showed it to Doug Bird, who quietly informed me I did not want to own this coin, as it could be subject to seizure if I ever tried to sell it at public auction. I returned it to the dealer I bought it from for a refund ($25K). I always thought it must have been one of the missing ANS coins switched by Dr. Sheldon.
@rays Wow!

you can save me (and maybe a few others) some time and confirm if this is the presentation that goes into sheldon switching out coins with museums, business associates etc. also it talks about a lot of other stuff. t.i.a.
if it isn't that one, i'll probably watch it while tinkering with coins.
edited to add: i did see part of the imaged ANS collection that had asterisks beside a lot of pieces that were noted as having been stolen by xxxxxx. (don't remember the name)
Movie night? for some reason, I just couldn't get the wife interested. Even with popcorn!
It is.

there is some uncanny underlying thing with women and coins. i've thought about it for a LONG time and haven't made much headyway but i do wonder if it perhaps women recognize the amazing beauty of the coins and they don't like the competition? lol
once the numismatic onion starts getting peeled, i'm not sure i can understand how most if not all people wouldn't be interested to some degree with the field, ESPECIALLY considering how much time, effort, good, bad, blood, sweat, tears etc goes into thinking about money and the ability to acquire some/more of it!!!
.
thanks a mil !
Since I am unfamiliar, what is the context here? Which sale is this from? When? Are these estimates, asking prices or actual auction results? Who wrote the descriptions?

I find that most women recognize the amazingly beautiful things that coins can buy, and could care less about the aesthetics of the coins themselves.
Excellent historical presentation! Really appreciate this post!

It’s almost certainly an excerpt from one of Jay Parrino’s ads, from his coin company called The Mint, circa 1996.
I am surprised well known stolen coins float around in the hobby without being returned to their rightful owner. "Don't put it in a public auction"
watched again.
