NEWP - 1719 George I Shilling

I picked up this 1719 Shilling for a very nice price recently.

I absolutely love the reverse on this coin in particular - it has a near perfect “circulation cameo” effect. George I seems to be a pretty tough monarch for shillings, with the exception of the 1723 SSC (which I would love an AU example of at some point). Although I didn’t realize it when I purchased it, 1719 seems to be a very scarce date with few auction appearances.

Let me know what you think as I’m still fairly new to early milled UK.

Very cool. Certainly not a date I see often in my searches.
