Thinking about our Double eagle sales?

We have been selling coins on E-Bay over the past 5 yrs or so.

Most of our coins go to rural/less traveled areas of the country.

Our Biggest sales go to Fla, Texas and California. We probably shipped a coin to every state with the addition of a recent sale to Alabama. Out of curiosity, I always look up the location and the income level of the area the coin is being shipped to. I am reliving geography class with most shipments. Sometimes I wonder what the buyer does for a living when he/she buys a coin in an area with a relatively lower income population? We rarely, if ever ship to large metros.

We ship registered mail and I do marvel at the movement on many parcels. The coin shipped from NYC travels to 3 different PO's (1 week) to leave the state. Once the coin lands on a runway (outside of NY) , the rest of the trip stopping at 5 different post offices seems to take less than 2 days.

A recent buyer told me he couldn't pick up the parcel since icy conditions are keeping him from leaving his property. Another told me FEDEX and UPS won't deliver to his town.

It's a big country and my bet is that there are quite a number of interesting stories that the coins could tell? I'm listening.
