1943 steel cent. Afraid to clean it, so I’m posting as I found it. Pm best offer.

There is not much value to this rusted cent; it is too far gone. Try to clean it with oven cleaner to take off the rust, but I do not think it will do much good.
I would say there is no need to clean it, as even if it turns out well (which is rare), it won't increase the value enough to make it worth it. Its value is 10 cents at most with that kind of rust.

I had never heard of cleaning these with oven cleaner. That's interesting.
I would like to see a before and after with this method.
That whole group is worth about $1. The bottom left coin looks like the only one that is better than average, and even in that condition it still isn't worth selling individually. You're better off finding a local coin shop or dealer and selling all your coins to them in a group. You probably won't find any buyers for these here, as most of the people on the BST are looking for higher end, mostly slabbed coins.
