Message board laptop problem

MWallaceMWallace Posts: 4,211 ✭✭✭✭✭

I'm hoping someone can tell me what's wrong and how to fix it. All discussion pages look like this. Only the menu shows up and it's on the left side of the page. It's only happening on my laptop. Phone and tablet are good. When I go to the home page or PM page, everything is ok on my laptop.

Perhaps there was an update to the website and your laptop doesn't use a recent enough OS to interact with the site?

There was indeed a website update, to the user activity page. Being discussed on this thread here

I found the solution. I had an ad block software update and this is the screen I was getting when I visited the PCGS website. The blocker software was blocking an unencrypted connection and cookies. When I turned if off for this site, I resumed having normal PCGS web pages.

This issue started last night. I've had it off and on several times since then. But you're correct, that fixes a lot of things. Thank you.> @Catbert said:

Thank you @Catbert. My browser (Firefox) updated yesterday. That's apparently when it started. I haven't figured out how to fix it yet, but I'm using a different browser right now and it's working just fine. Therefore, it has something to do with Firefox. I'll keep playing with it to figure it out.
    Thanks to all.

I found the issue. I don't understand why or how it happened. I use DuckDuckGo as my search engine. It is connected to Firefox thru an extension. I turned off the blocks for this site in DuckDuckGo. Fixed!! I'm happy now. :)
