Mike Leach, 61, passed away last night, RIP .

Mississippi State head coach Mike Leach passed away Monday night, the school announced.

Leach, 61, reportedly had a massive heart attack on Sunday in Starkville and was transferred to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. According to the Clarion Ledger, Leach may have suffered seizures with the possibility of brain damage after collapsing at his home.

Sad to report.... :'(

    Thoughts and prayers out to coach Leach's family. This is so sad, especially during the holiday season. RIP coach.

    Leach was/is very popular here in Tx. In and out of the car yesterday, I heard both local sports stations paying tribute. As always , his interviews were priceless.
