Clemente Rookie PSA vs BVG

Interested in opinions on the value of Roberto Clemente 1955 Topps RC. PSA 7 vs BVG 8: which holds higher value?

    Depends on eye appeal of the 2 cards.

    PSA will usually be higher unless people believe the BVG would have a chance at a PSA 8. If the BVG is in an old holder (back when they did sub-grades) it would beat the PSA as BVG was far stricter in that period of their grading and there are enough of us who appreciate those cards that we tend to bid them up.

    On the PSA side if it is a strong 7 vs. a weak 7 - a strong 7 would sell for more than any BVG 8. If a weak 7 the BVG could sell for about the same.

    I am one of the more slab agnostic people on the board - so others may have different opinions.

    If you show the two cards it would help.

    I occasionally bust out other companies and regrade with PSA, and it seems the BVGs almost always come back with a lower grade from PSA than the original grade. Anecdotal though.

    The BVG 8 looks much stronger to me there….at least more centered
