Mills Lane was an intense guy, and he always reminded me of a drill sergeant in the Marines, tough as nails, no nonsense, but he was fair. I always admired his work ethic and passion, he always sunk his teeth into everything he did. His career in the coutroom as a prosecutor is what really impresses me, I think he tried 22 murder cases and got a conviction in every one of them, he didn't mess around. And of course his career as a referee, he actually started off as a boxer and went 10-1 if I'm not mistaken, and he refereed some of the most bizarre fights ever, RIP to a legend!

I didn't know that, wow, I thought there was something very similar about the way he conducts himself, very disciplined. Once a Marine, always a Marine!
