btw, Smoltzie's stats are on the other thread when you asked about it...
Just to give you a heads-up....I wrote Chipper last year via the Atlanta Braves offices and he signed a card for me and sent it back. If you just want something for your personal collection (not for resale), you might want to go that route.

Yep...you are right...I have no doubt that some players get other people to sign for them. It just depends on the player......

But, I'm pretty sure that he wouldn't get someone else to sign for him so your card is probably actually signed by Chipper. Chipper is a pretty classy guy so you can be confident with him I would say.
Derrick I wrote to Chipper this year at the altlanta office and he sent back a 5x7 with a letter saying the auto was his. he wouldnt sign a card because he said he got so many that it was easier to sign the photos. Its worth the stamps.
