I've got 3 different Chipper autos: 1 auto'ed ball, 1 8x10 auto, and a Signed bat. I might be a yankee's fan but I'm not stupid image , this guys going in the hof first ballot when he retires. None are for trade right now, but if I get a nice offer I might trade the ball or 8x10. Keeping the bat for my personal collection.

Definitely. Chipper is awesome. But, I was interested in getting a Chipper auto on a card. I had one but I was a dummy and traded it away for some friggin Kobe's...lol...you know me...ah well, thanks image

btw, Smoltzie's stats are on the other thread when you asked about it...image
  • Derrick,

Just to give you a heads-up....I wrote Chipper last year via the Atlanta Braves offices and he signed a card for me and sent it back. If you just want something for your personal collection (not for resale), you might want to go that route.

Ken, thanks for the advice. I actually would prefer the auto being certified because you never know these days when somone is signing for someone else. But, I'm pretty sure that he wouldn't get someone else to sign for him so your card is probably actually signed by Chipper. Chipper is a pretty classy guy so you can be confident with him I would say. image

  • Derrick,

Yep...you are right...I have no doubt that some players get other people to sign for them. It just depends on the player......

Yup, I wouldn't mind having a Chipper auto on a nice card. That's basically what I'm looking for. But, thanks for your input...I appreciate it Ken.

Derrick I wrote to Chipper this year at the altlanta office and he sent back a 5x7 with a letter saying the auto was his. he wouldnt sign a card because he said he got so many that it was easier to sign the photos. Its worth the stamps.
