FWIW... I was buying certified AU pieces with nice understated toning for $50 - 60 last year when silver was up. I stopped buying them when prices got more to the $70 and up range. Last I checked... just now... looks like common dates are going back into the $40 to $50 range.
Collecting: Dansco 7070; Middle Date Large Cents (VF-AU); Box of 20;
I kind of like the 1880-P. But if I sell silver at X amount of dollars, I can't see paying much more than that unless its a tougher date. It's that simple.

The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!
Find some that actually sold. Is it so impossible to admit you are wrong?
I'm going to help you out. I will pay you $45 for every MS 60 or better slabbed pre-1921 coin that you will sell me up to 10,000 coins. Since you can buy them all at $32, you should be able to make $80,000 just flipping them to me. I'll even pay the shipping on lots of over 10 coins.
Let me know when I can start writing the checks. If you don't want to sell them to me, Upstate is BUYING them at $51 for MS60 to 62.
On the bright side, you're going to save a lot of money. No one is going to sell you anything on the BST since we know what your price points are.

Those are all bid prices still in play. Look at the PCGS recent Auction prices for 81S in MS 62. All over $50 and some over $60 I know most folks are tuned you out with your outrageous comments earlier, and I will do the same. Surprised with so many contributed discussions you know so little.
At least they'e better than paying $32 for a worn out POS.

Wholesale bid on pre-1921 Fine+ is $33.25. Cull price is $26.
