Numismatic Business Cards

OAKSTAROAKSTAR Posts: 7,732 ✭✭✭✭✭

I've acquired numerous business cards over the years during my numismatic travels. Most "ALL" end up in the trash.

I'm saving this one.

Took a deep dive into old ads in Coin World and even much earlier into the 20th century.

Some of the big coin dealers from the past 100 years had some cool advertising.

Had something from Max Mehl that was worthless to most but pretty cool. Buying guide of some sorts.

Always love me something with Fivazzz

Yes, I'm sure there are some nice (collectable) numismatic business cards out there.

I have a couple of business cards from dealers in the past...I have asked for an autograph on the backside of the card on occasion.

I would consider a business card from Bill Fivaz as highly collectable!

I covered up Bill's address and phone number. Not sure if it would have been appropriate.

I wondered how long it would be before someone posted their own card information...

Let them post away. As long as it's not against the rules.

    I guess there's nothing wrong with self advertising. 😂 🤣 👍🏻

Please note that I have no issue with the post at all, I was simply writing that it was something I had waited for in the thread.

I just have a tendency to pile them up and eventually just trash them.. I have thought about putting all of them in very nice wrapped box and giving it it to some poor soul as a White elephant Gift at a Christmas party. I think I might actually do that, as the 2 stooges in my head both think it is a great idea. They also say it would be very thoughtful too. :DB)

This would be a nice business card to have
    .
from: Minutes from Rochester Numismatic Association 1948
    .
At this meeting, but not included or read in the minutes, for the obvious reason that to have done so would have been to disclose this action to Mr. Bauer, it was suggested and carried out as follows:
Mr. Thomas suggested that inasmuch as Mr. Bauer has always been of asistance to the Club, its members and others in way possible that a group contribute the sumjS of $1.00
each and have a replica of his new Business Card struck in Gold.
This plan was carried out and when this replica is made it will be presented to Mr. Bauer from those of the members subscribing to same.
    Secretary.

Successful transactions with : MICHAELDIXON, Manorcourtman, Bochiman, bolivarshagnasty, AUandAG, onlyroosies, chumley, Weiss, jdimmick, BAJJERFAN, gene1978, TJM965, Smittys, GRANDAM, JTHawaii, mainejoe, softparade, derryb

Bad transactions with : nobody to date
