question about pcgs slab

A potential buyer inquired about the description on the PCGS slab.
He wrote..
from the slab label, what does Series: 71 and Coin: 2 mean?
I thought it referred to the holder generation? I really don't know.
I am curious to know.. as well.
thnx

It refers to which coin it is. Each coin has its own number for the series aka Roosevelt dimes, Eisenhower dollars etc. Coin 2 would mean its the second coin in the series.

PCGS assigns a number for every series they grade and they assign a coin number for every coin within a series. Starting with the first of the blue insert holders in 1998 and going through 2005, PCGS would place the series and coin number on the front of the label. For example, the Washington quarter series is 39 and the 1932 WQ is coin 1 so on the slab insert it would say "Series: 39" and "Coin: 1".

I think series 71 is the $20 St. Gaudens coin
