Sorry. This post was poorly thought, hastily typed in anger, and did not accomplish the idea I had. Just... ignore this.

I'm sorry about your roommate. I'm sorry about your rude DM. But this really isn't helping anyone, neither you or your roommate.

I hope your roommate has a full and speedy recovery.

As for the forum member you mentioned whom I’ve never even heard of (and I’ve only been on the boards for 21 years…), tens of thousands of dollars have been raised by generous board members over the years because I was able to make a few posts on various boards, “off-topic” though they may have been. Time and again the fine members here have acted as a community to help one another, and I’m sure that will happen here, as well.

Good on you, @physicsfan314, for being a good friend and reminding us about what’s really important.

While I feel for you and your roommate your post here is out of line.
Please refresh yourself with the forum rules. ;)

    1. Posts must not contain libelous (accusatory, attacking) remarks concerning any individual

    2. Fundraising - PCGS is proud to allow posts seeking to fundraise for numismatic causes. These causes can include, members of the numismatic community that are experiencing hard times or programs such as research initiatives and YN classes. You may be asked to provide proof that the funds generated from this forum will be put toward the initiative outlined in the post. Unfortunately, we cannot allow non-numismatic related fundraising, charitable or otherwise. All fundraising posts must be approved by a moderator.

Edited to add: PM's Personal messages should remain personal.

I wish for a speedy recovery to full health for your roommate. Cancer has taken too many good people from our midst.

And if the moderators want to delete this thread... that's cool. Just delete hvellente too, while you're at it. Because they hate people with cancer, and fundraisers to improve their spirits.

    Really? :|

You pretty much lost my support for your campaign with this comment.

Your post is in violation of atleast a couple forum rules, and your insistence on airing your nasty exchanges with another member is in poor taste.

Over the years there have been a few fundraisers for established forum members who suffered personal losses, but even in those cases other people started the initiatives.

I have sympathy for your friend's situation but I'm not really sure what any of this accomplishes. This effort went off a cliff in your first post on this thread, which is your second thread on the subject.

I expect that this thread will be shut down and maybe even deleted tomorrow, and you might even get banned. How does any of that help your roommate?

All the best to your roommate.

As for the rest, I will refrain to adding to the already exceedingly thick drama.

  • Sorry.

@physicsfan314 "I only ask for a bit of support."

I'm sure everyone here wishes you & Michelle all the very best and it's nice you are doing what you can to make her happy. :)

You were able to post on the BST board and your post has not been removed or closed. it may be now because of your actions
It looks like you are $112 away from your goal , congrats! :)
Since you are soo close to your goal I'm not sure it's worth causing a disturbance here on the main forum.

Personal messages should remain personal and if you have a problem you need to copy & paste it to a moderator not here on the main forum. ;)

  • Again, sorry.
