Which would you pick?

If you had a choice between buying a $500 bill for around $2400 of a mismatched serial number note for around half that amount, which would you choose. I want both, but don't want to tie up that much right now. AC

Both sound to be on the high side. Can you furnish any other details, (series, denomination and condition) or photos of the two notes ?

I would snatch the error up (4 digits mismatched is unheard of) in heartbeat over the $500. I can't even understand why people would go for high denominations but that's me. The $5 even looks brighter & better eye appeal IMO (despite the grades).

Well someone else got it first. He who waits, loses sometimes.
I would value the $5 error at approximately $500-$750 max.
It sold for $1,250.00
