Canadian coins for sale
I have some Canadian coins that I have been trying to sell with very little interest by potential buyers. I have the listed on World & Ancient coins BS&T. I have a fair amount of views but no offers. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

I just looked at your listing and can point out one or two things.
The first is that not everyone knows the weight of each of the silver coins. The fine silver content is labeled by you, but only two of the coins has a weight listed, as well. Therefore, one may need to get out a Krause, Charlton or Whitman catalog in order to determine the actual weight of fine silver offered in the group. Secondly, 0.500 fine silver is a tough sell in the US (some US coins are 0.400 fine and others are 0.350 fine) and this might extend to Canadian issues, as well. Those who want to stack silver are less likely to buy lower fine silver pieces as they take up more room and are less liquid. I don't know the premium you are asking over the silver content, but it might just be too much to make someone bite.

Based on eBay listings, your price for the group is pretty close to full retail. Most collectors are only going to want a specific coin(s) and won't be interested in buying the others and for anyone looking to resell, there isn't any meat left on the bone.

Thanks for your perspective. I have lowered the asking prices lower than my cost and then put a just make an offer on each lot. no change. I have now put what i believe is a more realistic asking price on these lots and still no offers. Just about reay to put them back in the safr. Thanks for your view, I really appreciate it.

This way is a perspective buyer belives my asking price is out of line, all they have to is just make the offer they like. Thanks for your thought.

Just to let you know where I'm coming from, if I was looking to buy the coins for resale on eBay, I'd be figuring it like this...
Low(ish) end expectation when selling the lot of seven items individually: $110
eBay fees and shipping: $40
Net to seller: $70If I want to make even $3 per item for my effort, I can't pay more than $50 for the lot. That's less than 50% of your asking price, so I wouldn't think of insulting you with such an offer.
JMO...
If I'm given a lower offer than I wait, I can always (and have in the past and will continue to do so in the future) make a counter offer. Basically it is like a dance, some want to and some won't.

@MasonG Understand your point. I would rather have someone give me a low offer and help reprice the item and then work with the person to make a possible sale. Negotiating doesn't bother me. It is kinda like buying a vehicle - who pays the sticker price.

Negotiating has always been on the table for me and I don't really plan on changing that.

You should go to the BST of this site. It gets lots of Canadian traffic and they know Canadian well.
https://www.coincommunity.com/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=32 Go the "all forums" and you will find a BST that gets some traffic.
I've already listed the on World & ancient coins BST. I'm seeing a little interest but no a lot.

The 2014 $10 Moose is 0.51 ASW, the cased silver $1 are all 0.375 ASW. Total 2.76 ounces of silver. At $19.25/oz about $53.
Retail - the cased $1's are $8 each. The moose might get $20.

Yes, I understand. Personally, I don't want to dance. My preference is for the seller to say "My price is $X, take it or leave it" and I can choose to take it or leave it. If the seller wants my offer, it's still pretty much the same thing except that I'm setting the price.
To be perfectly clear, I don't have any problem with your pricing. All I'm saying is that I'm not a buyer at that amount.
That's where we're different. I don't want to negotiate. If I'm buying, I want to know your best price. I will either buy or pass. If you insist on an offer, I'll tell you my best price. If you don't want to sell, I'll pass.
