    How many 2002 mint sets did you have to search to find these 67s and 68s? Do you use the $10 service or a more expensive one or does it make any difference? What does it mean to "walk a coin through" the grading service? I will understand if you tell me its none of my business. You are really excellent at what you do.imageimageimage

    The walk thru service is usually a one day service (for $50 or $100). This is also available at most major shows. While wondercoin may have made these coins himself, he usually has this type of stuff even without making it. I think there is some unwritten rule somewhere that all high grade moderns have to go through him at some point.

    Seriously, I have not submitted a bulk lot of state quarters to PCGS in years. I really gave up looking for these high end coins when I slabbed a single MS66 GA out of 8,000 coin in 2 bags (and spent about $500 premium to get those (2) GA bags as well). The "cost" of making these coins from a time element is huge, as anyone knows who has tried. I either buy these coins on the open market or accept consignments to sell them off for collectors/dealers. These particular 2002 coins came from a collector I have worked with for a couple years now who got his PCGS report on line and asked me pick up the lot at PCGS (which I did today), sell off the coins for him and send him a check. He actually has more time to go through hundreds more mint sets by not having to deal with the sell off of product. To each, his own. image Wondercoin.

    Thanks for the reply Wondercoin. Now I understand how you have so many of the highest grade coins to offer. I do it the old way, the way that leads to lots of eye strain! Searched a couple hundred 2002 mint sets and this is the best PCGS could do for me on that certain day. Order Status #339735. Several of these will be cracked out and resubmitted. Oh well.image
  • All;
    Just want to publically comment on the nine coins I just received from Mitch today---a PR69DCAM 2002 set and 4 MS68's (theP's except MS). As usual, they are all beautiful---the 69 set is noticeably superior to one other I had purchased previously for nearly as much money---one coin there is no comparison at all (truthfully, the other one is overgraded in my opinion).

    Thanks again, Mitch.
