What’s going on with our hosts not following customer requests for labels?

coinercoiner Posts: 699 ✭✭✭✭

I hate to bring this to the forum—but I’d like to know how many others this has happened to on their submissions.
I have been very clear on any submission to request First Strike FLAG label and also to specify “NOT SHIELD” label.
How does my coin get holdered and labeled?
Shield label and not FLAG label.
This has happened at least twice in the last six months.
Is anybody actually reading the submission form?
You would think SOMEONE at our hosts would see what is going on? This is at least the third mechanical error I’ve had to send back to PCGS this year.

I am sorry that you are encountering issues.

    Serious question, not snark.

The 'First Strike Flag Label' is now a "special label". (Do not know when it became one.)
Have you been following the label guidelines (e.g., "First Strike #2" on the "other" line in "service level" section of the submission form)?

    Again, NOT snark.

Edited the preceding, and added the following:
I did a little more investigating. Several of the currently available "special labels" specifically state in their guidelines that they are not compatible with the "Gold Shield" service. For example: Naismith, Ultraviolet Eagle, Nathan, Innovation Dollar, West Point, and Astronauts Memorial.

While the guidelines do not specifically state it, is it possible that the 'First Strike Flag (Special) Label' is also incompatible with "Gold Shield"?
