first off, i concur with GRP -- beneath Swann it's Pearson, Branch and Landry
now for #31. took me a while, but i think i've got it. and no, i did not cheat. that would be unbelievably lame if i did. mind you, i'm the dude who shares his plethora of losing wagers............if i was an unscrupulous bag of crap i assure you i would not do that.
anywho, i stared at #31's face about 50 times, included the clue given, then it finally came to me

If one of the pictured receivers is Cliff Branch, that brings back a memory of him playing at the University Of Colorado in the late 1960's or early 1970's.
I remember a game where Colorado received the opening kickoff. Cliff Branch received the kick off about 5 yards deep into the end zone and ran the ball out. He ran the ball all the way for a touch down. From where he received the ball to the crossing the goal line was about 105 yards in a straight line. His kick off return for a touchdown did not follow a straight line. He zig zagged during his return and ran more than 105 yards.
The amazing thing is that when he cross the goal line to score the game clock (which started at 15:00 and ran down from there to start the first quarter) stopped at 14:49.
Now it may be that the game clock commenced running a little late after Cliff Branch received the kickoff (maybe 1 or 2 seconds), but the idea that he ran 105 yards, through 21 other players (11 of which wanted to tackle him) in 11 seconds (or 12 or even 13 seconds) in full football gear is amazing.
Cliff Branch is one of the fastest football players I have ever seen.
