Set Registry Backlog
This has been discussed a little in that forum, but believe it might have some merit here as well, does anyone know if there is an update as far as PSA changing their method on player sets? There has been 1 player set added since October 7th (Joe Gibbon fans celebrate!) and PSA currently averages about 4 player basic/master sets a month. Seems like these sets could be added in a more timely manner when they are requested, the backlog is so long that I'm not even sure people would be interested in some of the requests (Jarrett Stidham has since been traded and relegated to probable back up status for his time in the NFL)
There are many young superstars, HOF’ers or future HOF players winding down in their career who do not have sets. I don’t know if all have been requested but I know many that have but do not have a timeline on when they are added.
Is the player registry just not nearly as popular as other sets?
FYI here is a link to registry requests and added sets. I have requested sets 6-7 months, many much longer and they have yet to make the list yet let alone be close to being added.
Seems like player sets could be added with a minimum number of cards and then cards requested by motivated collectors. There are a bunch of things at this point that could be done to update the registry itself as well.
