Why is SGC so fast now?

I'm not complaining, but my last 3 orders were graded in 1 day regardless of submission size at standard rate.
Total time I sent off to time received back in my hands have been 1 week.
Why so fast? No business ( can't be it )?

SGC came out with an interview today on you tube explaining the reasons why they are so fast.
I am at work otherwise I would post it.

Thanks for the video. It is exactly as Peter said. $18 bucks. I get an email in the morning that they received my order. It's graded and done 5 hours later and shipped next morning. Love it!

Maybe preparing to stay alive if PSA is able to lower the price. Graded today and out in a week no matter what. Something PSA doesnt offer unless you pay a huge premium for.

of course it is because their submissions are way lower than PSA...how else would you be able to turn order over in a couple days? Try doing that if you get in 25k cards a day

Too bad they quit grading tickets, so no subs from me. PSA is too slow and expensive, so they will stay raw.

Sent SGC approximately 100 T-206 cards and 35 from the 50's and 60's.
This was in June of this year. Back in hand 8 days later. A good experience.

Beckett just announced they'll be doing tickets soon.

I like their slab, slab background, but not their flip, much better than PSA and Beckett. However as they have greater width they take up more space. good as the holder is beefier bad if space is a premium if you have hundreds

Due to price, wait and number of new factors with PSA since they were purchased my registry days are over.

Since my registry day have ended and I do not sell cards and sadly SGC not carrying the same cachet I will be keeping all my 1-2K non-sports cards formally in my "to grade "pile" raw.

Registry collectors kept the lights on at PSA during their periods of leaner times. That is not concern to Turner, Cohen, et al as if business begins to drop to those levels again they will simply sell off PSA as a unit.

Unless otherwise specified my posts represent only my opinion, not fact.

Nice sub Mike. Would love to see some of those when you get them back.

Edited to add: I may have to send a few their way to get a feel for them.

Mike, the centering on that Gibson rookie is amazing. Also, that 1961 Banks MVP is a stunner. Most of those cards would not look out of place either a half or a full grade higher. Your eye has not changed in one bit after all these years.

    Nice stuff.
Maybe a shadow on the banks MVP or is that a slight stain on the right bottom boarder/edge? Half way down from the middle of the white boarder. Going all the way down in white and a little blue area. Very slight yellow tint to it?

I found it. Missed a wrinkle through the “I” in Ernie. The regular 61 must have been a 6oc = 4 situation, I guess.
