I've been able to ID this 1795 Flowing Hair Large Cent as an S-76b. I've been wrong lately on two, so if possible I would appreciate some help with this for those that are familiar with the Sheldon system. These are the best photos I could get of my coin. It appears to have a high ONE CENT and 3 leaves under the D in UNITED. The T in LIBERTY seems to be in the correct position. The 5 is into the bust and the 79 appears to be closer than the 17 or 95(hard to be sure of this one).
Thank you for your help.

Definitely obverse #3, and reverse C.
So unless it’s a lettered edge, S76b is correct.
Not a lettered edge. Thanks, Greg. Not too many on the board like these early cents and a year or so ago, neither did I.

It’s an acquired taste lol!
well i presume you are no spring chicken, so care to share some back story of how you go from pfffft, crappy old copper overpriced large cents to COME HERE BABY AND GIMME A SMOOCHY SMOOCH!
for me it was love at first site for a late date that graded au58 and the dealer i got it from, a former pawn shop owner no less (ONERY but a fun and funny guy) for i think $40.

Well, Mr. Newman I am certainly no spring chicken. I spent 60 true years collecting everything, had so many old blue whitmans with separated pages that they were a foot or so deep on a shelf. Then I started with the nicer, to me, National Coin Albums of which I still have many, then nicer whitmans, Danscos, Littletons, etc. I collected complete sets of everything but Silver Dollars from IHC's to Kennedy Half Dollars and many 2 or 3 times(IHC's, Lincolns and Buffaloes) Like the Silver dollars I just thought the large cents too big and very little information that I could afford pre 80. When I finally finished my 3rd set of Buffs last year I jumped around to BU Walkers(33S up) twice and finally got bored with that and it hit me, buy some books. I had sold so,so many in the last several years. I found a couple free on Newman Numismatic portal and then bought 8 or 9 all on Large and Half Cents. Got excited reading about the issues and next thing I know I had about 30 or so coins in old wayte raymond albums. I didn't like the classic head 1810 up(all ugly heads I thought). I say 1810 because I already had a couple of of 1809 varieties.
Then reading the books and talking with a couple of big time collectors I started searching for varieties and studying all I could find about them and here I am with a new hobby that excites me. Wasn't sure I would ever feel that way again. Love this forum and those who daily participate on it with their wit and wisdom, who have helped me greatly and at their great expense of Time.

Very interesting coins, and for the most part genuinely scarce.
There are far more 1889 CC dollars just in VF, than 1795 cents in all grades combined.
The presence of R-1 varieties does not make it any easier to find 1794 large cents at shows. Believe me, I try.
