Rarely encountered Jefferson nickels with exceptional steps. Nice coins for that collector who has been searching for an example with nice steps. Please use the private message function to discuss if interested.
I'm just about the only old time collector left who has these seldom seen Jefferson nickels.
This 1954-S PCGS with no FS on holder is for sale, $7,000 or best offer.
This 1960-D is for sale, $35,000 or best offer. Strike-thrus occur at the time a coin is struck/minted and the mark on the steps is just that, a strike-thru, not a nick. Most collectors don't have anything close with full steps. An extremely rare coin with nice steps of this series. Any serious collector knows just how rare this date is with nice steps.

the close-up is obviously blurry but how is that NOT in a FS holder already?
surely a few subs (obviously these days that means many months) would get it there between pcgs or ngc?
i think there is the minimal risk reconsideration with FS being the minimum or something?

The last 54-S with FS on the holder in 65 sold for 3500. I'd be interested but I think we are worlds apart without FS on the holder.
