1988/Griffey Platinum psa 10

Looking for one any help would be appreciated!

  • Looking for this card !

  • You might do a Search on eBay and save the search. You'll get an email if one pops up ...

  • I'm no expert on these things, but.... they grade tough. I say go ahead and grade the card for preservation purposes. I'm not sure it's the best option to grade it in order to resell it.

There's the crease, and they don't care if you caused it or not.

There are some centering issues, which are more visible on the back.

It's difficult to tell on the corners, but if even one of them isn't absolutely perfect, you'll be penalised.

According to what I've heard, the general rule is PSA for older items (I believe 1989 qualifies) and Beckett for newer cards.

Toughest Griffey card out there in my opinion and still undervalued. A PSA 10 is going to carry a hefty price tag. I have a PSA 7 that I got from a sealed set. Being the top card in the baggie made them prone to corner and edge issues. I would like to upgrade to an 8 or 9 as they are still not out of range pricewise.
Good luck on your hunt and post a pic of you get one!
