Cleveland Gaurdians win the AL Central Division Title!

Youngest team in Major Leauges ( And actually at the AAA level too) have won the Central Division today with a 10-4 win over the Rangers. They used a present 7 game winning streak, and 17 of their last 20, to accomplish the improbable feat.
Hmmmmmmm, maybe there was a curse on the INDIANS name??????? :D

    I've kept an eye on the Indians all season as they struggled with staying a few games above .500 and all of a sudden about three weeks ago they really started to play good ball. The move up to where they are has been steady which and sort of interesting in light of everything that's gone on with Terry Francona the last few seasons. Whoever is running the ship has done a good job.

    I expect that the Tribe will get the Mariners in the first round.

    Great run for Cleveland the last 3 weeks, they had to step it up because the White Sox were playing some
    pretty good baseball down the stretch. Hope they do well in the playoffs.

    Even though I was Yankee fan, I always had a lot of respect for Tito when he was with the BoSox. Always seemed a class act. Hope he can get his health issues settled.

    killin me smalls. i've had a hard enough time with the ridiculous name change as is, then i looked at the title of this thread and thought man that's a jacked up way of spelling a jacked up nickname. if that's proper then i'm done with cleveland, ohio forever. then i pulled up the standings to confirm.

    have some good news and some bad news for you, mr wine me dine me Steven59 me

    the bad news -- because that faux pas forced me to observe the royals and tigers playing grab-ass at a collective 47.5 games outta first, you have temporarily lost your cleveland guardians fan card. you are hereby required to attend fire hydrant's world-renowned remedial spelling class this saturday morning at 7 am sharp. the good news? think speeding ticket. much like a defensive driving course where you don't learn a damn thing all day long, in fire hydrant's spelling class you just sit around and watch porn for like 4 hours then go to lunch. ain't no thang butta chicken wang.

    Just as real men don't eat kiche, real fans don't call the Cleveland MLB team the Guardians: we call them the Indians, the Tribe, the featherheads, the Wahoo's, etc. :)

    Well Jack looks they aren't going to do that! Find another thread to mope about in............. BUT, playing the Yankees next? Kinda scary - NOW they may not win a game after they depleted their bullpen with the 15 inning win tonight.

    Cleveland Guardians win Wild Card Series, will face New York Yankees in ALDS
    That home plate Ump was horriblr today - but Cleveland finaly got it done

    Gordians or whatever there name is now will not go far. When was the last time they won a WS, like 75 years ago? :D

    OMG!! What the heck is happening?? I think the Indians are too young to know that they're supposed to just lay down and let everyone walk over them. Lead-off bunt singles?? Hitting to the opposite field behind runners?? Making contact to put the ball in play?? Winning an away game in extra innings?? Walking off the Yankees??

    Whatever it is it sure looks like fun.

    i still dont know what sport they are talking about when i see cleveland guardians. will take a while to get used to.
