Now that the Queen has passed, do you think purchasing a 2022 Uncirculated or Proof Set from Canada or Great Britain would show a premium in future years being the last year of her reign?

I think not because of the high markup when initially sold.

Definitely not. There are billions of coins with her image on them out there.

Everybody and their brother will put coins away from 2022 with her image. There will be thousands, if not 10's of thousands of MS coins from this year 20, 30, 40 years from now with no premium for price. Many sets will be worth less, I think.

The only death year in the past 121 years having a premium is 1952. The penny, English shilling and halfcrown are excessively rare or even unique. Other death years (1901, 1910, 1936) had large mintages, relatively speaking.

Farthings, halfpennies, 3ds and sixpences were minted in 1952. It is a decent year for 6ds, but not super pricey (about $150-200 BU these days).
