Bought this from an East German vendor in the eastern sector of the Brandenburg gate in June of 1990, about 6 months after the wall came down. They were selling everything that wasn't nailed down!

    Interesting; that's not German. The flag in front of the Soviet flag is Czecholslovakian (and still the current flag of the Czech Republic), and the language is Czech. Google translates it to "100th anniversary of the birth of Lenin", which would have been 1970.

    There was a lot of East German merchandise. I was only interested in Soviet Union memorabilia.
