I thought it looked like Abraham Lincoln. But if it wasn't him then it was definitely a wealthy family.. it's real though. And the kids face is blurred so idk if it's a post mordem.. I just wish I knew who it was and the whole backstory and everything that it has gone through... And I wanna know how much it's worth. It's pretty Kool though.

What makes you think it's a daguerrotype? May well be a tintype. Kid's face is blurry because kids wouldn't hold still long enough for the slow exposure. These old photos are not rare or valuable unless the subject matter has special significance.

The child’s face is blurry because he couldn’t sit still during the exposure. Most daguerreotypes took 8 to 12 minutes exposure time.
That’s why no smiles, people usually seated and children blurry.
It’s hard to tell but I think it’s a daguerreotype not the later tintype. The biggest clue making it a daguerreotype is the blurry child.
