Submitting Cards in Hard Plastic

I have a card that was encased in what appears to be hard transparent acrylic plastic, for protection. It is held together with 4 screws. Should I remove it before sending it in for submission?

    Yes you have to remove from screw down cases and there’s a good possibility that the card will come back ungraded or altered as the screw downs can compress the card which is also why many collectors will not purchase cards that are in screw downs.
