Post a double dime in memory of astrorat - Lane Brunner

Lane was the go-to specialist on US 20 cent pieces. We shared many PMs about them, discussing everything from errors to love tokens - I was pleased to help place examples of each in his collection. In his memory I wanted to post a recent pick-up which I was excited to share with him.
I purchased this unattributed on eBay, technically this could be called a cracked planchet but it is close enough to a ragged rim clip for me that I had to snag it;
I know it would have put a smile on his face to know I finally filled that hole in my clipped type set.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

Rest in peace, Lane.

I mentioned to him, earlier in the year, that I forgot to place a max bid on a CC dd. Just spaced it and actually thought I'd put a bid with my auto bid program, but did not.
He said I missed a good one that went cheap. I said that I knew that, of course, but fortunately they are pretty common if you wait.
He agreed and wished me better luck next time.

Sad news. I liked his knowledge of double dimes.

Here are the four coins in my Twenty Cent registry set. I’m still on the hunt to upgrade my 1875. I’m all set on the other three:
