Cal, Bartkowski & Ferragamo...1973
Why did Vince go to Nebraska ?
Did Matt ever play a full game in the Nfl
Mac related to LSUs Bert ?
Only one was going to play. Ferragamo couldn't handle the competition. It turned out OK for both.
Just a little sidebar on Ferragamo. He entered Cal in a funny way. He went to Banning H.S. (SoCal)
Mails his commitment letter to USC in the morning from the Post Office. Changes his mind over lunch and goes back to the Post Office to see if they can find it. They fish around and find it and give it back to him.
He then mails his CAL letter.
Head to head, he had a better year than Bart even though Bart had a yr of freshman ball.
They were both going to transfer. Ferragamo blinked and did. I do believe he never liked the atmosphere at Berkeley. Glad it worked out well for both.
Michigan:
Tom Brady
Drew Henson
Michigan:
Elvis Grbac
Todd Collins
Michigan also had Jay Riemersma with Collins and Grbac. All three threw touchdowns in a game against Houston in 1992. Riemersma, though, was destined to be a tight end in the NFL not a quarterback.
