Buyer beware of eBay seller: broughtmyagame
My brother bought a card from this seller and didn’t receive the card. My brother contacted the seller after a couple weeks and asked him about the card. The seller encouraged him to wait a little while longer and he would contact USPS. He assured my brother he would take care of it. He didn’t receive the card nor did he hear back from the seller. At any rate my brother contacted the seller to get an update. Unfortunately it was after the 30 days and the seller told my brother that he didn’t have to honor any agreement after 30 days and there was nothing he could do about it. My brother trusted that the seller would do the right thing but he did not. So after lengthy conversations with eBay my brother learned that there was nothing he could do. Costly lesson and unfortunately because of this seller my brother won’t be giving any seller the benefit of the doubt.

always use a CC to fund purchases so you can file a dispute if necessary after the ebay "window" expires.

Thank you for the advice. I passed the information along and he’ll give it a shot.
Hopefully your brother left a nice long negative feedback for all future customers to read.
I think I would have initiated a claim long before it got close to the 30 day window. Honestly, I dont check it but maybe once a week, but if I havent see any movement in tracking by two weeks, Im emailing the seller and giving a week for something to show up
Ehh, with this level of feedback, I'm going to say the moral of the story here (assuming nothing is missing from the OP's story) is to learn how to use ebay properly and be an educated buyer. Don't really think anyone needs to "beware" of this seller!
If the seller is using the 30 day window to get out of refunding when he doesn't have proof of delivery and encouraged the buyer to wait more than 30 days. That's pretty shady.
Things I have sent out, USPS has made remarkably few errors. They lost something during the covid shutdown. When stuff I buy doesn't show up I usually assume the seller decided they didn't want to sell. I wait as long as I can if they're asking for more time.
That's your conclusion when, according to the OPs story, the seller has said he didn’t have to honor any agreement after 30 days and there was nothing he could do about it. I take that as he isn't sending the card, and he's keeping the money he got for the card. You're well known around here for always blindly taking the contrarian position but (besides it getting very old) you're way off here.
The seller might be a great guy that helps little old ladies cross the street when he's not donating blood and working on a cure for cancer but, in this one transaction, buyers need to beware of him. The OP did the right thing by making our little card community aware that this can happen if you decide to do business with this seller.
I don't think we are hearing the entire story. With feedback like that, I can't imagine the seller just waited for the 30 day window to stick it to the buyer. I think something else is going on here. Maybe just a lot of miscommunication from both sides.

Maybe the seller thinks that your brother was scamming him? Many buyers claim the package was never received and depending on the messages back and forth, the intentions could be interpreted differently. I assume they had to have provided a tracking number?
Has he filled out a lost package request with USPS? They are very good about following up with these even if it takes a few weeks. I have gotten calls directly from the USPS and they have told me who last held my package, as they have cameras literally everywhere and gps location tracking of all carriers. Fill out the form and get the package found.
