Nebraska looking like they will regret the big money paid to Frost
Frost was a somewhat of a gamble... but he checked several of the boxes in terms of a viable replacement. There is such immense pressure at certain schools... and Nebraska is one of them... that it is next to impossible to meet or exceed expectations. I think there are folks in Lincoln that regret Nebraska left the Big 8. It really is hard in terms of keep an identity when one basically walks away from their past.
I recall when Nebraska was still in the Big 8 and they faced Northwestern in some bowl game- this must have been 20-25 years ago. It was just one of the poor matchups and Nebraska just slaughtered them in such way that was something one would simply never forget... I think Nebraska scored 66 points. I think the Huskers, like everyone else, thought they would have an easier time in the Big Ten. And it just may not happen anytime soon.
