Dot in initials?

Is this the "dot in initials" variety? It's a 1773 Spain 8 Escudo. Does the "dot in initials" variety carry any premium?

You are correct that it is the "dot in initials" variety.
It is hard to see in the picture, but with the book in-hand I can see it matches your image.
However, according to La Onza, there isn't any associated premium for that variety.
Per the book there is perhaps a modest premium for the over date, though I don't know if that would really hold true.

    Ok, thanks for the info.

I ask because there are two Spain 1773's in AU with points in the initials on eBay. Both with insane asking prices ($7.5K & $9K). That's several multiples over what I have in mine and I was wondering if these sellers are just being incredibly over optimistic with their asking prices or if this variety somehow garnered such a premium. I'm glad to hear it doesn't because if it did I think I'd have to sell mine LOL
