Drilling a generic capital plastic holder to fit larger diameter coins...?

I know Capital plastics will custom make holders if requested but it can be expensive. I have some medal sets I want to put in holders together. I was thinking of taking a generic 5 slot capital plastic holder which holds 27mm coins and using a 36mm hole saw to drill 36mm holes for my medals. Anyone do something similar?

Be careful drilling plastic. You can end up melting it. Practice on a garbage holder first.
Use of water might be required. Just a thought.

Yes. Low speed and some form of heat dissipation.
Will try that thanks. May attempt to do it with my dewalt hand drill. If I lived closer to my father inlaw I would use his drill press. I'll have to see.
I've cut holes in ABS plastic before doing car electrical/stereo work. I wonder what kind of plastic is the capital plastic core?

You may honestly have a better result by having a plastics shop fabricate it for you. Materials are cheap and they know how to work the plastic.
