What I thought was a die clash, but shouldn't it be turned 180 degrees? What happened here?

Sell? I have to first verify that this is real, I have never seen anything like it before. I'm hoping that the real experts can help. With it being turned 180 degrees in the wrong direction scares me a bit, even without any damage to the rim. I couldn't sell anything if it wasn't real of course.
