I didnt get the 2 (or 2.5 oz - fuzzy memory) last time ... so ... went for 2 of these 1 oz. heh
I dont collect medals, but some of these armed forces look pretty good, and I was always a fighter jet buff and like the F22s on this one.
(But the reverse, meh.)
Lol
I just so happen to pick one up yesterday, at the ANA Show in Chicago.
Yes, what a beauty!
He, the mint worker, told me that there was a low mintage of only, 75,000?
Here's mine.
"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.
Mine are due soon. Those pix are making me anxious. I was almost inspired to build another model airplane ... havent done that in AGES!!! (dont really have the time any more)
Dont see too many model kits around any more. Well, I havent looked in a while, but they've been replaced by RC cars, drones, and such.
Mine arrived on Friday, August 19, the quickest I have ever gotten something either enrolled or bought. I love the enrollment program, and this medal is simply beautiful. I already have the 2.5 ounce Navy and Marine Corp issues, which really do dwarf this issue, which is as expected, and all three are without flaw. My father was a Naval Commander, and served in Vietnam. His bunk mate and operations partner was a Marine Corp Major, and was killed in one of the landing operations, hence why I purchased the two 2.5 ounce medals.
I signed up for the USCG enrollment coming later this year. I think the enrollments ship sooner than the purchases made on issue date. This makes sense since the mint has the shipping info for enrollments much sooner than purchases.
I had a enrollment something got messed up with it. I ordered when it went live. Quick turn around, at pcgs already getting graded. Didn’t open box to see want to get some fdoi
Went there (US Mint) to order the other day (16th)for a customer (his nephew). Said no mintage limit, No household limit, and no availability. @$65 plus shipping. Wow. What a rush for bullion.
Quoted him $95, afterward. I hope he doesn't come here to bash dealers for "gouging". It cost me $90. On eBay. It's not even a coin. One ounce silver medal. Great for flippin'. ( I guess ).

This thread is on the AF medal, right? 😉
I worked for the AF for a while and just started another partnership with them so picked up some to hand out to our class.
This was available for almost 2 minutes. If you wanted some I’m fairly sure you could have checked out. 😉🦫🙀🎣

My enrollment of one medal is due to arrive on Saturday. I did not get the 2.5 ounce version in 2021, so this will be nice to have in my collection.

So much for no limit unless the mint is short on silver to make them.
