Post your CAC Colonials. Because like real estate, they're not making them anymore.

CAC announced in late 2014 that they would no longer accept colonials.
Per JA in December of 2014:
“They are just so different. We’ve been doing this for eight years and the colonial community hasn’t really embraced us...the way they are struck they are just too crude [for an overall standard]. There are so many vagaries in the minting process I cannot get a consensus on what should be stickered and what shouldn’t.”

My one true colonial is a CRO purchase from early 2017. It's no secret that I like representative pieces in older slabs. CAC stickers are another feature I seek as an affirmation in and of itself but also as another attribute that adds weight to a particular coin. That CAC hasn't stickered colonials for 7 years means this specific attribute will likely become more scarce over time.
Got a CAC colonial? Let's see 'em!

nice piece!
a real shame they aren't stickering colonials since that is who we were and since the names didn't seem to change, who we are.
i understand the political side (niche group acceptance) and the technical side of the inconsistency from coin to coin but there are MORE than enough coins out there that would garner a sticker with or without any little niche accepting it or not and even with the variance from coin to coin. (i know they know that) there are plenty of people that don't accept them on usa coins, clearly stated on this forum and i support anyone's decision to collect what they want and how they want i just hope people try to keep politics out of it as much as possible so as to not limit themselves and their collecting habits but i also understand people taking a stand on issues that are important to them, i don't always support what others believe but i appreciate each one own's right to be able to do so.
maybe they feel the pops would/could become too skewed due to purposeful crack-outs to remove stickers/certs or stickers being outright removed or something. people do stranger things to be sure and just like with the tpg pops, if the certs that get cracked aren't reported, then the pops and collectors just pay the price a bit.
it does to overall seem to work out though as the more scarce a coin is, the easier it is to track them with or without holders or stickers and the more common they are the less it matters. a nice balance and life is full of it if we are able to see it.
it has been a long time since that statement and if they haven't started reviewing colonials again, while i understand the standpoint, i sure hope they reconsider.
do they still show a colonial cac coin pop?
Sure
These are mine as of now, however they are now being auctioned off in Heritage's "Early Copper and Colonials Showcase Auction" scheduled of August 22nd.

Yep, CAC does still show colonials in their pop reports. And you can still use their search function to verify!

I would presume if you had a piece reholder into a newer gen holder they would re sticker if same cert #!
