Question on grading Garbage Pail Kids cards

For those of you that have graded GPK's before, how much if at all does the die cut come into play? In the original series, the die cut can sometimes can go a little deeper than normal and can clearly be seen on the back of the card. Does this impact the grade at all? Is there anything on the front of the card with the die cut that also needs to be taken into consideration such as placement or fully connected line? Appreciate any help. Thanks

Ive got one coming back next week, UK version mini. That one is not die cut. I also sent in a few series 2-4 1986 during the July event so wont know till end of year results. I know exactly what you are talking about. I looked at listed GPK PSA graded cards...I noticed many with high grades have that die cut impression on the back from the die cut process. I sent in the cards I felt have the best chances overall to get high grades as a test run and see how PSa handles it.
Thanks. Good luck with the grades. I just opened an OS5 box and did better than expected with centering and corners but a lot of the die cuts could easily be seen on the back. Felt like this shouldn't bring the grade down but the cards I've purchased already graded did not show the die cut coming through.
Thanks , mine were from 1985/87 and stored in boxes since then. I had 1200 cards and narrowed down to about 50/80 that are probably worth sending in. The rest I will sell in lots on ebay.
I have submitted many wacky packages which have the same issue. I have never had a card downgraded because of the issue you’re referring to. Biggest issue for WP with PSA is the “roller marks” sometimes found on them. Not sure if that was still an issue by the time of GPK.
