Eck is retiring!

He is the only Red Sox announcer that I like.
He will finish out the season.
I hope they pick Millar to replace him as none of the others are any good at it.

Millar would be welcomed with open arms in my opinion!

That guy was a huge clubhouse guy in 2004!!!

    PLEASE dump Youkilis!!

God, how he loves to say "right there". His commentary is lackluster and he tries too hard to be what he'll never be, a professional baseball announcer.

on the TV side, Eck was the only sox announcer I have truly liked since bob Montgomery got done years ago.

Eck will be missed for sure. he didn't sugarcoat anything and said it strait.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

I'm in favor of Millar, earthy, knows the game, and was Mr. Cowboy Up during the amazing 2004 run. Two thumbs up.

Millar has a way of presenting all aspects of the game in a way that everyone can understand.
He like Eck is not afraid to say what needs to be said.

    ...
Yeah, and don't ask me why or how I stumbled upon this particular clip.

Edited to add: watching this clip was actually fun and sort of relaxing. Back in time. The calm before the storm of the playoffs. 😂
