I’m really going to take advantage of this special!

Diving in with at least 75 PCGS coins.

75 coins for reconsideration? I am sceptical you will have >5% change in grades. But it is a good experiment. Let us know.

Sent in a few of my own for recon for the first time. Likely not worth the $ it cost but the special has my interest piqued.

I have the following group in. Have never done reconsideration before, but with the special and some submission credit from winning one of the prizes in that toned showcase contest last year I decided to give it a go. Hoping for a few plusses, but will take anything :)

Love the rest of the sub, as well. I've never seen this effect on the star before the denomination - pretty cool!

@bidask Were those the ones that they took back with them > @bidask said:

I wouldn't be too disappointed and I would actually be happy with the result (albeit you wanted more upgraded). The coin that upgraded is considered rare and is not only rare, but conditionally rare. There is only one other graded MS coin at NGC at a 62 and your coin now went from a 63 to a 63+. Knowing what this coin will bring at auction right now, this half a point upgrade I think more than paid for the cost of the experiment (IMO). My perspective is the glass is half full.

I guess 1 out of 10 is an expected outcome based on PCGS statistics, so sounds right.

    Thank you

Except for the 1832 and 1868 the rest of these finally received their correct variety designation.

I still think the1832 is an overdate
    ( 1832/1 ).

Did you list it as 2/1 on the submission form? I'm not sure if it is, personally.

It looks more pronounced in that photo vs the PCGS true view. I agree it's likely an OD
