Goldie!.....You're on it brother!.....The 1975 Series.....game six!.....That Fisk home run was just UNREAL!....I'll never forget it!! It ranks right up there with Mazeroski's walk off homer in game six 1960!......That 1975 game, Reds/Sox, may just be the greatest World Series game ever!......My favorite!
P.S. Pink Floyd?!?....Oh, Well.....2 for 3 ain't bad......you're hitting .666......But is .666 good?.....
Anyway, The Lovely Mrs. Hydrant™ loved Pink Floyd...... always spinning their disks......I HATED IT!.......DROVE ME NUTS!!!!!
Concert - Summer of 1975.
Fort Collins Colorado. Concert at the Colorado State University football stadium. I was between my freshman and sophomore year of college. Me and about 6 high school friends (guys and girls) drove from Denver to Fort Collins to see a concert. We had seats on the field, about 5 rows back from the stage.
The concert lasted hours and we had a blast watching, hearing (and dancing to):
A. Chicago;
B. The Beach Boys; and
C. Elton John.
Each group/performer played separately, one after another
Then they all took the stage together and played together (jointly playing hit songs of each of the groups).
It was a blast.
Football - 1978 Superbowl.
Denver v. Dallas.
If I saw this game again, one must would be a Broncos win.
Baseball -
July 4th AAA Denver Bears minor league baseball game played at Mile High Stadium in front of 60,000+ fans (who showed up each July 4th primarily to see the post game fireworks show).
Do they make you feel Comfortably Numb?
Elvis is The King! Listen everyday on XM radio.......Anyway, I went to an Elvis show in Vegas. 1970?.....I went with a girl named Judy.....She loved Elvis,....I loved her!......She was so excited about seeing The Big E!....So,.......during the show he flirted with the girls in the audience......"Do you want a kiss, a scarf or both?"........Well, Judy chose both and she got her wishes!....At the VERY BEGINNING of the show!......She fainted.....passed out!.....She never saw the show.......HILARIOUS!!!!..... OH, Well......
I ran into Judy about 12 years later at the little country store.......Man!,....she was hotter than ever!!!!!!! I think I know why Elvis was scoping on her.....
Not a wish list of events, but a baseball game, football game, and concert that I actually attended that I would like to go back in time and do it again!!!!
Concert......Emmylou Harris at Bob's Branding Iron 1975 San Bernardino, Ca.....the band was rockin'.....
but the best part?, I met the most lovely young lady at that show.....she asked to sit at the table.....DUH?!?!?!?!
Baseball game.....Dodgers/Pirates......at Dodger Stadium 1971?.....my favorite player, Roberto Clemente, hit a grand slam!
He was so smooth in right field!
Football game.....Rams/Cowboys 1977 Playoff game......I don't care if the Cowboys were the better team!...I've hated them ever since!.....Maybe if I went back in time to see the game again the outcome would be different!

I did go to a concert in Atlanta somewhere in the early 70s, that was pretty unusual. Donny Hathaway, Roberta Flack, Gladys Knight and the PIPs, Al Green, and one more I can't remember. It was at the Omni, once thee place for concerts. Well, Al Green was not on the slate, but he came on unannounced, and, and was introduced by the mayor, Maynard Jackson. I thought the roof was gonna come down, he was BIG in the 70s. The fans went crazy. Add to that when Gladys and the guys were singing "Midnight Train To Georgia", Atlanta being there home town, their mics went silent. The scramble to get the mics back on was sadly comical, with a roadie kneeling down in front of them with extra mics in hand. Then their mics went dead again, I'm sure somebody, or a group of somebodys got fired that night. Gladys pulled it off, but her brother was super pissed.
I might add seeing Uriah Heep and Edgar Winter Group was "unique". The lead singer was either stoned or drunk, it was "entertaining". Throughout the "concert", the bass player would pass cups of wine to the front row, yup, 5 fingers into the cups and they drank them down. Ponder that!!
Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band was great! I lived in Portland, Maine then, concerts didn't come through too often.
I think the 70s era produced the greatest rock and roll music of all time. It began in the 50s, evolved in the 60s and really hit its stride in the 70s. If you lived it, I'm sure you'd agree with me. If I could go back in time, I'd land on 1/1/70 and live it again.
Baseball game, any game I attended in Fenway Park. If you enjoy baseball, make an effort to see a game in Fenway. Perhaps those where I got to see Ted Williams and Mickey Mantle play.

Allman Brothers;
On June 27, 1971 the Fillmore East closed, and the band were invited to play a final, invitation-only concert, along with Edgar Winter, the Beach Boys and Country Joe McDonald. The Beach Boys initially refused to perform unless they headlined the event, but (Bill) Graham refused, telling them that the Allman Brothers would be closing the show, and they were free to leave if they disagreed. This Allman Brothers' performance was used for the second disc of the 2006 expanded version of the follow-up album to At Fillmore East, Eat a Peach.
