1963 D Quarter RPM or Double D Mint Mark?

arby96arby96 Posts: 229 ✭✭✭

I took some of my mint and proof sets and thought I would spend some time checking them out. I came across this 1963D Quarter with an interesting D Mint Mark. Please take a look and let me know what you all think. I's not sure, these types I of strikes I'm not sure. Pictures are not great, coin still in Mint Package.

Good morning – yes, it’s very common ejection/mechanical Doubling

This is a very common effect on D mint Silver quarter, especially the last three or four years

Thank you Fred, I was think that is what it might be due to the flatness of the back D. I sent that other coin, the 2019 American Memorial to Mike Diamond from Coin World. He wanted to take a closer look at it. It would be cool if it happened at the mint. We will see.
