Let's see your Gallery Mint errors :)

WilliamFWilliamF Posts: 832 ✭✭✭✭✭

Not sure what kind of response this will get cuz I dont know how many on here are a fan of the GMM pieces but ive seen some pretty neat "errors" come from Ron Landis, I believe I've seen a quadruple struck mercury dime posted on here before and some other interesting pieces, post 'em if you got 'em! :)

Yes, but not overstrikes of genuine coins, those are a whole different category :)

I sold my Gallery Mint Error 'collection/accumulation"
about 8 months ago to a serious collector.....about two
dozen dramatic pieces (and mated pairs)

They will probably be in a display at a future CSNS or FUN show.

    Love The Gallery Mint !
Most of what I own is what I special order two plus decades ago after a chance meeting with Ron at his first ANA Summer Seminar, a couple years before Ron's Gallery Mint vision became a reality.

Here's some random stuff I have posted previously captured using my superior, now trash canned, iphone 6plus:

I have these two from years back. No pics but I also recently picked up an ANA token from the mid 00s with a nice incomplete clip that I assume is also from there.

    Sean Reynolds

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

There are a few GMM Enthusiasts on this forum. GMM has been enjoyable experience for many in the coin hobby last 30 years.
I jumped on the Landis & Rust train a long time ago once I realized they would gladly execute my intricate hand drawn "Special Order" errors. I dig errors, but somehow I did end up with a few of normal items from Eureka Springs

How about another pair of mules? These are unique in that one is comprised of 2 obverse designs and the other one has 2 reverse designs... so when you flip the first one you're always guaranteed to get heads, and the second one guaranteed tails :)

These are "errors" in the vein of all Ron Landis "errors."

Ever since Ron re-released his Felix Schlag Nickels in the spring of last year, I had visions of having a few "special pieces" created in commemoration of his design.

Once I discovered the Thomas Jefferson 250th Anniversary Commemorative Dollar, I knew what it had to be.

Working closely with Ron to get these fitting tributes made resulted in the following.

    I appreciate your thoughts.

    .

    .

Pair #1 - Centered Schlag overstrike

    .

    .

    .

    .

    Pair #2 - Off-center Schlag overstrike
