Half dollars.

May as well chuck an image up, too!

Barber Half Dollars are my first choice of coin when selecting one of the Barber series.
When I was young, I thought that the effigy on the front of barber coinage was a gladiator.
I think my main attraction to Barber coinage, especially the Barber Half Dollar, is the history, and age.
The quarter seems like the perfect size for the design to me. I prefer the proofs, so don’t need to worry about the scarce and rare branch mint circulation issues.

Nothing is as expensive as free money.
Barber Half Dollars for me, due to:
I have many of each, but the quarters are my favorite
BHNC #203
My first love are the Halves, but I collect all the denominations: (Ex. E. Gardner 1914 PF-67+ CAC)

Half Dollars. The set is actually completable by people without selling a car to finish it.
Also collect Quarters knowing it will never be complete.
Dimes will be a target at some point, but not sure when
Jeff, what a Half....it's either 59++++ or 66+ !!!! Beautiful coin.
Bigger is better.
Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value. Zero. Voltaire. Ebay coinbowlllc
Completing the Barber quarter series is quite a challenge, and that’s what initially drew me to them. I’m a big fan of the halves as well though. Dimes…not so much, as the reverse design isn’t as interesting to me.
Dave
I like them in high grades, otherwise, meh.
RIP Mom- 1932-2012
Nickels. But if we are limiting to the 3, Halves.
Here you go, @CoinHoarder, a shot of the Puck magazine cover (one of the first English language political satire publications) with the Barber design as a gladiator! This image is the lower two-thirds of the cover illustration for the particular issue. I have an original framed and hanging in my office. The original covers measure about 14x18 inches.

The bigger the better, halves.
I like barber nickels but they aren’t on your poll.

Halves.

I seem to be able to hang on to dimes more than quarters and especially half dollars.
...and there are more varieties in the dimes too!

Here's a purdy Half in an Old Green Holder.
Halves are sweet. I've got a group in a large Capital holder around here somewhere. Peace Roy

I still can't get over how I actually found a 1900 Barber quarter in a coin roll from a local grocery store...haven't found any more silver since but I'm not giving up!

I collect all of them, just took the dime because it was first.
Dimes for me.

I like them circulated, as well-

Haven't made up my mind yet. Either dimes or half dollars are my favorite. I have seen too many AG Barber quarters in my life, so they are my least favorite.
I voted quarters but the Barber dime has a special place in my collecting journey.
This 1892 is the first certified coin I ever bought (well, my parents bought it for me). Can’t remember what year exactly but it was at least two decades ago from a local coin shop. I remember my parents being put off by the proprietor because he told them I wasn’t a serious collector after looking over my box of clad Kennedys, SBAs, and other common coinage.
Anyway, this one was in an old ANACS soapbox which I crossed at grade (62) to PCGS a few years ago. Kind of wish I’d kept the old holder in retrospect, but it’s nice to be able to enjoy the TrueView and have it in my Registry type set. I suspect that the strong appreciation I had for this coin as kid is at least partially responsible for my strong penchant for toners to this day.

Nothing is as expensive as free money.
That’s a tough one. I love all of them, including the nickel. I guess I’ll go with the half. Sometimes bigger is better LOL

My first slabbed coin is a 1912 NGC proof64 Barber half. I bought it in 2000 and still have it. Can't find the pic. I might have to make another.
Throw a coin enough times, and suppose one day it lands on its edge.
Here's my only Barber half photo. A crusty barnacle. I collected them for a while before I started collecting SLHs and saving seller's photos.
I think Barber's are underrated. They would make the perfect clad coins.
Although the Barber Half Dollar is my favorite of the series, I also like the Barber Quarter.
