Picked up this 1 sovereign the other day - looks like it has tons of detail and the repair isn't that obnoxious. Graded as NGC AU details obverse repaired. Curious to see it in person versus the obviously juiced photos.

    Some sellers use mainly computer USB-photo scanners to scan coins.
    The light reflects horribly on scanned coins.
    Please people do not use scanners.

    I find a lot of UK sellers use scanners instead of photos. Not sure why.

    Got the coin in hand, looks great! I still don’t see how this is AU details unless the minor repair precludes an UNC details? This is MS any day without the repair.

    Around REX on the obverse (4 o’clock). You can see it in the juiced photo in the OP, in hand it’s minimal at best.

    I actually see small wear on the laurel leaves, tail and horse flanks/neck
