I think we had a brief discussion about tvs some time ago, but I've pretty much decided its time to make a move. Now with college football on the horizon, my NFL package, and my 55 inch appearing to having some "issues", it just makes sense to do so.
I've zeroed in on the following as my top choice
LG - 65" Class G1 Series OLED evo 4K UHD Smart webOS TV with Gallery Design.
If you have an OLED tv, and perhaps an LG brand, I'd like to read your comments. I was looking at Sony, but not sure I'm paying much more just for the name.

Have you looked into Samsung? We got ours at Costco about 5 years ago (55 inch version) and have not had one issue with it.
Yes, I have, they appear to have the same bells and whistles, but there is a gap of $800 between them.
Great choice. The only upside with the Sony is a faster processor. Sony uses the LG screen but actually the difference is minimal. You won’t regret it and wonder why you hadn’t done it sooner.

Have you considered these?

What you wind up getting?
About the right size for my bathroom.
The front runner in my tv selection...
It comes with OLED, 4k and Dolby Atmos compatible, not to mention every Hopalong Cassidy, Maverick, Sky King and The Lone Ranger programs. Gonna be hard to not pick this one. Adding a SONOS Gen 2 soundbar should polish this off nicely.
I hate television. Television drives me nuts. Always has. Never watch it. The only thing it's good for is NFL games......Oh, Yea!!
We have a TV to watch movies. The biggest I could fit into the decor was a “55 inch Sony 4K HD with an LG OED screen. Pair that with a Sony HD 4K blue Ray and 4K Ultra High Def Blue rays and it’s a sight to see. Then of course September 8th the wife is relocated to her bedroom when the NFL is on. She’ll be allowed out in March.

1970s tv remote for when the plastic channel knob broke
Yep.^^^^^
After some research, and so much to choose from, this is what I've purchased...
LG 65 inch OLED B2 series Alexa Built in 4k Smart tv 120 hz refresh rate WebOS Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos.
I also got the SONOS Arc 5.12 w/Dolby Atmos and the SONOS Gen 3 subwoofer.
My current 55 inch Vizio is slowly dying, kinda weird how the pixels are fading from upper left to lower right, while the reverse is hanging in there. It's barely watchable, but until I get the new stuff up and running, this is what I gotta live with.
I'm expecting an OMG moment going from 55 to 65 and 4k. I was surprised to see how much 4k programming is offered on Prime Video, unlike Directv, which is close to paltry at best.
