The Red Sox "ace" pitcher, $30million per season, hasn't pitched well in 2 years, went UBER BALLISTIC after being pulled after walking a batter with the bases loaded. Sale is rehabbing with a stress fracture in his right rib cage. Now I ask you, what you're about to see, do you think beating a tv in the clubhouse with a bat, ripping it off the wall and continuing to kill the already dead tv, helps his recovery?? Apparently he no longer has issues with his "injury" and his ribs are just fine.
What a bozo, self-absorbed, non-team playing loser!!! Somebody needs to have a come to Jesus with this clown.

Utterly ridiculous, I have a vicious temper but as an adult I don’t let it get the best of me.
The club should have him charged with malicious destruction of property
What if he had reinjured or damaged his ribs?? Gotta be something in his contract that requires him to not self-destruct. I'd make him pay in full for the damage and tap his check for $100k. Sox gotta dump this guy, too whacky, too emotional and doesn't give a rip for his team when they need him most. I'm sure Cora will soft pedal it, what they need is a Dick Williams!!
Great game tonight, Devers was on fire, and Story made the best put out I've ever seen. Unfortunatley they came up short. Fans got their money's worth at the Fens.
Oh, now Chris Sale is blaming us for his tantrum, here's what he said about the video going public:
Sale: “That’s their problem for videoing it. If you want me to act like a normal person, treat me like a normal person. This isn’t a normal atmosphere. If I was at Bank of America, that wouldn’t fly.”
Typical Athlete clown talk and just to let you know Christopher, if you were at Bank of America or any other job you would be fired.
ridiculous that a grown man acts like that. good grief. if I did that at my job I could kiss it goodbye.
he absolutely should be charged for the damage.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Well, at least he didn't walk the TV.
someone come find me when Sale can utter 150 expletives in 90 seconds and launch a phone while pirouetting

you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
I never saw the long version 😂😂😂😂😂
imagine a grown man acting like that. what a child
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Not to beat a dead horse in this thread, but I think this link says all you need to know about the character of Chris Sale, and the marshmallow manager Cora, who appears to have treated this "incident" like nothing happened.
I think the key in the narrative is that Sale does not regret his actions...WOW!! So he picks up the tab of $6k for lunch and signs some stuff, thinking this makes him cool with everybody again. $6k to Sale is like change from buying a Big Mac. How about apologizing to Red Sox Nation and promising to attend anger counseling? This clown is a walking time bomb, players had best clear the path when Mr. Ego gets pulled, because the fuse will be lit, and apparently his actions will be condoned by Alex Cora, the spineless manager. Where is the discipline???

At least he did something though
Is this how he got the stress fracture to begin with? Congratulations to the Yankees as there is no competition for them this year in the majors. The Sox have no starting pitchers left active right now and are hard to watch even for me.
Well, if I viewed the video correctly, Sale had to have felt it in the stress fracture area, although he'd probably never admit it, he went super nutty on that tv and then beat it to death on the floor. I'm just so disappointed that a player of his calibre can be treated with such kid gloves as obviously Cora does, instead of disciplining him. He does represent the Red Sox organization, and like they say, there's no "i" in team, and clearly he thinks only of himself, and sadly, can't humble himself enough to get some kind of counselling to work on his anger stuff. IMO, his popping for the $6k lunch was his attempt at diverting the real issue and noise away from him. He most definitely has anger issues and should seek help. Just because you sign a meaningless tab and sign your name to some stuff, does not exempt you from the responsibility you have to your teammates, clearly he thinks he is above all others.
Yup, tough times for the Red Sox. It appears the Yankees have it all but locked up for the AL East Division. All is not lost, the Red Sox are in 2nd place in the Wildcard (remember 2004). The kicker could be that 3 Red Sox players are not vaccinated and will not be allowed to player (or even maybe enter Canada) for the late September Toronto series. The players are Houck, Duran and Sale. Who knows, I kinda look at it from the perspective of "it's only baseball".
I was not a vax fan either, and we balked for quite a while before we were compelled to get the jab. Our Sept cruise out of Rome mandates vax required...pretty simple, no vax, no cruise. It wasn't any big deal, coupla easy pinches and done.
On another note, I hope you appreciate the fact that I was merely suggesting you might try to get out of the house and get some fresh air, as I knew you had travelled not that long ago. Somebody here took uber offense to my post to you, and went off the deep end instead of realizing my intentions...you know I responded. So, if you feel that I offended you in any way, I offer my sincere apology, my intentions were heart felt. As you know, I live in a retirement community, we have A-Z here, widows, widowers, singles, married, etc, etc. Some, who can easily travel, don't. They merely go to the clubhouse and think Bingo and other time wasting games like Mahjong, etc, etc, make their day. I guess it works for them. So much out there to see and enjoy, but perhaps they see things differently. Yes, we get group emails about deaths and other medical issues. Many people are constant travellers, while others just do nothing, but can. We don't have many years left, and I was encouraging you, not telling you, to get away from those 4 walls if you can. You know I've visited ABQ and the area, visiting Chaco Canyon, Madrid turquoise area, and several small churches along the many off highway little roads we found. Its a beautiful place, enjoy it as best you can.
I have only posted in the past about some of my travels merely to share the excitement of what I experienced and have always encouraged others to travel as well, if you can afford it, go while you can was always my message. Because our page here is rather eclectic, I will continue to share some of my adventures and let the reader enjoy or not.
Enjoy the games.
Sincerely,
Al
Hi Al,
I have no ill feelings about what you suggesting to me. I have been to all those places in NM that you saw including the magnificent staircase in Sante Fe that no one understands how it was built and still stands. I have also been in almost all the USA states and been on many cruises in my lifetime
The same guy:
Chris Sale scratched after cutting up throwback uniforms
After an hour of confusion, the silliest possible reason is the one that sticks, per all the reports.
The White Sox said Chris Sale was scratched from his start due to a "non-physical" incident, but you’d probably disagree if you were a 1976 throwback uniform.
After an hour of speculation that went from illness to trade to God knows what, Tommy Stokke of Today’s Knuckleball broke the report that stuck.
Not a joke: Source says Sale blowup was because he didn't want to wear throwbacks, so he cut the jerseys up so no one could wear them.
It appears to me that Chris Sale is a very unstable, immature, self-absorbed, and possibly dangerous person if triggered by certain situations. After his major hissy fit, he thought all would be good if he popped for steaks for his teammates...thinking they'll all love him in the end, but undoutedly, I'm sure they think he's a nut job.
Clearly, Sales meets this criteria: Source...Healthline, Mental Well-being
Intermittent explosive disorder. A person with intermittent explosive disorder (IED) has repeated episodes of aggressive, impulsive, or violent behavior. They may overreact to situations with angry outbursts that are out of proportion to the situation. Episodes last less than 30 minutes and come on without warning. People with the disorder may feel irritable and angry most of the time.
Some common behaviors include:
temper tantrums
arguments
fighting
physical violence
throwing things
People with IED may feel remorseful or embarrassed after an episode.
See the anger???
Why would Cora be doing much relating to an incident that occurred on another team? This happened in the minors not Boston.
Cora is his manager, he was only on a rehab game, but still a Red Sox affiliate. Do I really need to spell this out to you? Don't you think as his manager, Cora should be aware of such anger issues with his "star" pitcher? Wouldn't you as a manager get this guy evaluated, and see if counseling or some form of therapy is needed...OR, do you think its better to just let the guy go on his nutty tirades and either hurting his career permanently, or injuring someone else?
I just caught the end of the game tonight as I was watching the Trump rally in Alaska. Jeter Downs played the first inning from the minor league and was taken out and sent to Boston and he ends up getting a hit in the 10th and scoring the winning run. Two rallies in one night .
Wow this guy has a history of acting like a spoiled 5 year old
Yup, it appears so!! The most striking thing is that he has NO REGRETS, about the incident!! As I wrote above...

Cora wasn't his manager on this night.
It's an organizational issue to address if they think there's an anger issue.
Nobody was mad when Ortiz blue a cork that time. Lets wait and see what he does on the mound where it counts. We sure need him to come back strong and has no more of these issues.
They should have been. That nonsense is dangerous. You have no idea where shrapnel might fly.
Totally agree, the Ortiz thing was insane. The phone could have and more thank likely did see flying pieces of plastic going everywhere. If I'm not mistaken, on Ortiz's farewell visit to Camden Yards, he was presented with what was left of the phone.
Not Ortiz's brightest moment.
NO player should have his hissy fits condoned. I think they should be fined and have their anger issues addressed.
See any plastic flying around...what if he had blinded somebody???

you remember correctly. they did give him the phone.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Some of these guys are high strung and do crazy things.
Sale and Ortiz are not the only ones to have done these kind of things.
Most are immediately sorry for doing it.
Sale went uber ballistic. I took uber offense. Nice allegory you've crafted @MCMLVTopps
Oh Well,....I tried......
Guess he should have stayed in the Minors..........
Broke his finger today from a line drive:
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
Saved the Yankee Stadium visitors locker room before he got taken out giving up 3 more runs.
